Captain and vice-captain multipliers

The captain badge is the largest controllable swing. Most Indian fantasy platforms multiply the captain's points by 2x and the vice-captain's points by 1.5x. Some mega leagues use 3x for the captain and 1.5x for the vice-captain. Head-to-head formats usually keep 2x and 1.5x.

Responsible play

The points system is the same on every major Indian platform, but the contest types, deposit tiers, and risk profiles differ. Player11 reads the rules as a researcher. Set a fixed monthly cap before joining your first contest and read your state's eligibility on /is-player11-legal/.

FAQ — Points System

Do all platforms use the same points system? The core actions match across the major Indian platforms, but the precise weights and bonuses can differ. Always read the platform's contest rules.

Are strike-rate bonuses applied in tests? Strike-rate bonuses are specific to T20 formats. Other formats use different thresholds.

Does an impact-player carry points? Yes. The impact-player's points are added to your team's total.

Strike-rate bonuses, deeper read

The strike-rate bonus applies only to T20 formats. Test cricket uses a different threshold (a 50+ run bonus applies at a higher boundary). The strike-rate bonus is also conditional on the batter facing at least 10 balls — a 30-ball 60-run innings awards the SR bonus; a 6-ball 25-run innings does not. The threshold is calibrated to reward sustained aggression, not a single six off a free hit.

Bowling bonuses, deeper read

The bowling bonuses stack additively. A bowler who takes 4 wickets in a single spell earns 25 x 4 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 124 points. The 3-wicket and 4-wicket and 5-wicket bonuses are separate (not cumulative), so the bonus is +8 (3-fer) + +8 (4-fer) + +16 (5-fer). The economy bonuses apply separately from the wicket bonuses. A bowler can earn both the wicket bonus and the economy bonus in a single innings.

Reading the points system rigorously takes practice. Player11 publishes the points tables on /points-system/ and refreshes them whenever a platform updates the rules.

Reading the points system in practice

In practice, the points system rewards three patterns. First, the captain badge on a high-floor batter — a Rohit Sharma innings returns 50-60 fantasy points multiplied by 2 becomes a 100-120 point swing. Second, the death-overs bowling rotation — a frontline pacer with three overs at the death returns 25-30 wicket points plus economy bonuses. Third, the fielding column — slip cordons and outfield safeties catch 2-3 chances per match, adding 16-24 fielding points.

The points system also penalises three patterns. First, ducks in the batting slot (-2 pts). Second, slow innings under 50 SR (-4 pts). Third, loose bowling spells above 12 rpo (-4 pts). Penalty-aware XIs avoid the negative columns. The most successful XIs are the ones that combine the three positive patterns and avoid the three negative patterns.
